“I search the mind. I try the heart, even to give man according to his ways; according to the fruit of his doings.” (KATL)
We now move beyond Jerusalem. So much has happened in just a few days.
Our focus, in this spiritual New Year, is how we bear fruit as individuals, and as a community, while acknowledging the good works that have begun.
Spiritual signs of growth and newness come to me in my blessed garden.
I have a special pear tomato plant that I rescued from a local clearance table last fall. It has flowered and produced tomatoes all winter. Now into spring it is repeating the process, encouraging the other plants around it to come alive.
The Loquat Tree (a cross between a mini plum and pear) has produced beautiful and very sweet fruit. The birds and other critters in the neighborhood have picked from the vine as well.
My favorite Lemon Tree has so many blossoms and the smell is like heaven.
These signs of renewal are encouraging one to maintain the course.
The field is open wide and so are God’s Blessings!
