Who Is It That You Look For? Part 7

“Remember my journey and why I came to be.

I did it for you all so you would believe.

Who Is It That You Look For? Is it I, He?”

(DMOL, Patricia A. Zorn, pg.57)

Once again, we enter into the silence; listening intently for a cue.

After all this time, we are still searching for the one who connects with us via the Spirit of our being.

We must now return to view a scene from the holy book to answer half of our question, “Who Is It That You Look For?”

As the soldiers entered the garden that evening, Jesus came out of prayer and out of the silence. Jesus stepped forward and asked them, “Who is it you are looking for?”

They answered, “Jesus of Nazareth.” Jesus responded and said, “I am he.”

Jesus knew everything that was going to happen to him, yet he stepped out of the their shadow and into the Light, knowing the sun would rise again.

Take a moment to enter the garden.

Don’t forget to come back to this blog. The remainder of our question will be answered on Sunday morning.

“When the silences of the soul make their appearance, resting in God is already a way of reaching that oasis where our thirsts are quenched.” (Bro. Roger, Taize)
