Who Is It That You Look For? Part 3

“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for; the conviction of things not seen.” (Heb. 11:3)

Perhaps your faith has been tested. You are not alone.

Here is the 2nd stanza of the poem: Who Is It That You Look For? Is it I, He?

I felt alone and weary. My body ached and cried.

I did not want to leave you. I didn’t want to die.

In the midst of a darkened hole, upon a stone slab bed;

I was no longer alone, without a place to lay my head.

My father he was with me, listening through it all.

The ground and walls shook hard as I answered ‘your’ call!

The sun rose so high on that Sunday morn’.

My clothes were white and dazzling, not a stitch was torn.

In the sleep I awoke to a brand new me. (DMOL, Patricia A. Zorn, pg. 57)

For Week 2, think about this:

“By faith we understand that the universe was created by God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible.” (Heb. 11)

Risen Jesus, in your Gospel we discover such a clear hope. It sustains faith even in situations where there seems no way out.” (Bro. Roger, pg. 16)
