“He hides me in his shelter when there is trouble.” (Ps.27)
Last week, while in prayer; the Taize Chant, “The Lord is My Light” popped into my head. God shows up in a whisper or a song, when I need it most.
The same day, I pulled one of my books off the shelf and randomly opened a page. On the page was a quote taken from Psalm 27, “The Lord is My Light and Salvation; Whom Shall I fear?” This was my 2nd confirmation that this Psalm deserved a second look.
When blessings come, I can pay attention; embrace the message that God has my back or retreat into the darkness of whatever challenge is knocking at my door.
Have courage, this is no time to recoil. Remember, “The Lord is My Light, My Life and My Salvation!”
