God’s Business

“I must be where my Father’s work is.” (Lk.2)

Jesus described his work as “being about my Father’s business.” What was he referring to? He was focusing on the work he was sent to do.

Christ said, “With the bigger picture in front and before me, I knew time was short and life was closing in around me. I had to look beyond the trivial and make a decision and stick to it; regardless of which way the wind of the world was blowing.”

The Work:

When called to do the work there are two choices to consider:

Will you be about God’s business or will you be about the world’s business?

If you choose the latter, you will stumble along the way and waste precious time on nothing.

Christ encourages us to not squander our peace regardless of the circumstances.

Reflection: “Am I doing the will of the one who sent me in order to finish His work?” (Jn. 4)
