Mary finds out she will play a part in God’s plan.
I see Mary walking through the streets of Jerusalem. Her feet are shuffling in between the mixture of sand and stone. There is a hint of nervousness in her stride.
Mary knows the battle lines have been drawn. She is apprehending what will happen to her son; broken hearted and yet remaining faithful to the process.
As we continue to reflect during this auspicious week, we identify with Mary. Many of us have experienced birth, death and everything in between.
