Stop the Wind, Still the Storm

Beyond the Pulpit

I know every bird of the mountains. Everything moving in the field is mine.” (Ps. 50:11)

Hello Kindred Soul’s,

The Lord always finds a way to get my attention when I am outside in the garden.

For past three months, I‘ve had a visitor; a woodpecker that I call my “Frequent Flyer.” His favorite perch was the antenna on my house.

He started his pecking ritual before sunrise or any other time that struck his fancy.

At times, I found the noise to be annoying, especially if I was in prayer. He was persistent and I knew something was up.

“Without warning, a storm of wind began to howl.*

Into the Garden

And the very moment they both stepped into the boat, the raging wind ceased.” (Mt. 14:32)

Connect with the Inner Ticker of Life

He stretched heaven’s curtain open and came to my defense. Swiftly he rode to earth as the stormy sky was lowered. He rode a chariot of thunderclouds amidst thick darkness, a cherub his steed as he swooped down, soaring on the wings of Spirit-wind.” (Ps. 18:9)
