“Passing thru, passing thru,
Sometimes happy, sometimes blue
So glad that I ran into you,
Tell the people that we’re only passing thru.”*
During his ministry, Jesus’ reputation preceded him wherever he roamed. He had a mission and fulfilled the work that the Father sent him to do.
In this present season, my ministry journey is virtual; reaching across the miles, meeting people wherever they roam. My focus is to finish the work I am called to do as He did…
“Jesus got up long before daylight, left the house while it was dark, and made his way to a secluded place to give himself to prayer. Later, his friends searched for him, and when they finally tracked him down, they told him, ‘Everyone is looking for you—they want you!’ Jesus replied, ‘We have to go on to the surrounding villages so that I can give my message to the people there, for that is my mission.” So he went throughout the region of Galilee, passing through many places. (Mk. 1:35-39)
“I saw Jesus on the cross, on a hill called Calvary
Don’t hate mankind for what they’ve done to you?
He said talk of love, not hate
There’s no time, it’s getting late
I’ve so little time and I’m only passing thru.”*
We are all, “Passing Through!” As you continue your journey, what are you going to do?
