My Peace I Give You

Oh, If I had wings like a dove, I would fly away and rest! (Psalm 55)

Are you seeking a peace that surpasses all understanding?

Every element and being in this created world has a part to play.

The moon just passed through its full phase a few days ago, symbolizing that which comes to fruition. This can be a project, job, ending or new beginning; whatever life has thrown in your path.

After the morning rain today, I made my way outside.

In the middle of the road were three doves. The birds were situated in the form of a triangle. I caught the scene out of the corner of my eye as I was walking.

What does the dove represent? The dove is the spiritual symbol of the Holy Shekinah Spirit, peace and a sign of good things to come.

What does the number three mean?

If we return to the story of Noah, we know the dove made three trips looking for land.

The first trip, she did not find a place to rest her feet and had to return to the ark. Sometimes we are searching and find ourselves back to the place where we started.

The next time the dove was sent forth from the ark she brought back the olive branch, a sign of new life. We can look for inspiration via the Spirit to keep us moving in the direction of hope.

The third time, the dove did not return. She found a place and space to be in the world. We all seek to find that place and want it to be one of peace.

If the dove has flown into your life today remember, “My peace I leave you. My peace I give you!”
