“There will be no more distress. The High Season of God will be there.” (Rev.22)
Challenges in life are part of life’s package. How do we face these transitions that come about? Is there a way to alleviate the discomfort? The answer is ‘Yes.’
We all; at one time or another have found ourselves bound by the chains of fear, anger, grief, resentment; requiring us to “Lean Into God and Step Around Life.”
Son Day for Sunday Message:
In Mark, Chapter 5, we come upon one who is in deep distress. This man was isolated and left in chains to meet his own demise, “All the day and night, he was crying out and cutting himself with stones.”
The one in chains sees Jesus get out a boat and runs towards the Light, “Straight away, there came to him from the place of the dead, a man with an unclean spirit.”
Something shifted…
“Crying out with a loud voice, “In God’s name, do not be cruel to me?”
Jesus didn’t mess around and got to the root of the problem, “Come out, you foul spirit.” He then took further action and sent the darkness that dwelled within this broken soul, over a cliff.
The people that lived in the town were a-buzz with what happened. Before their eyes sat a bonafide miracle, “Seated, clothed; with full use of his senses.” Regardless of all that took place, the people wanted Jesus to leave the area, immediately.
The man who was now healed wanted to travel with Jesus. Jesus gave him a job to do:
“Go everywhere and spread the good news of the great things God has done for you.”
And he did…
With a 2nd chance and 100% made whole; He “Leaned Into God and stepped around the circumstances. Dusting himself off, he traveled to the Country of Decapolis.
Told about the great things Jesus did for him and…
“All were filled with wonder.”(Mk.5)
