Kindred Road Trip

Son Day for Sunday

Post-Resurrection…

“You should always recognize the difference between what you see Jesus to be and what He has done for you!”

As we meet the travelers from Emmaus; they are still reeling from the events of the last few days, the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ.

While traveling to their home, a stranger begins to keep stride with them. As they converse with him, they recount the happenings in Jerusalem. The stranger gets invited to their house for a meal…

“There are times in our life when we lose awareness that the Holy Spirit, the Risen Christ is in us and with us.”*

It was in the breaking of the bread where the two disciples recognized Jesus, “Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?” (Lk.24)

“Each change marking as it were a milestone on the Spiritual Highway. The Beauty of the view you see in the distance is the realization of my character, My Glory. Know that when I shall appear (that is to you, to your sight, when you see me); you shall be like me, for you shall see me as I am.” (GC)

When Jesus appeared, he wanted those who witnessed his death to embrace the resurrected life.

Prophetic Passage:

“Everyone who listens with an open heart will receive progressively more revelation until he has more than enough.” (Mt. 13)

While in prayer last week, I had a vision of our beloved Jesus standing in front of me; his hands open, palms facing me with an illuminating light, everywhere; comforting me.

If I am distressed, discouraged or distracted, I find peace within whenever Jesus appears in a vision. My keepsake is an eternal snapshot, forever etched in my memory bank; featuring blessings of hope that we do not stand alone, ever!

Is your heart burning? Do you yearn for more?

Psalms of Hope:

“You are so intimately aware of me, Lord. You read my heart like an open book and you know all the words I’m about to speak before I even start a sentence! You know every step I will take before my journey even begins.” (Ps. 139)

Prayer of the Week:

Jesus’ resurrection means that He has the power to convey His life to me with His foreordained purpose; making us daughters and sons of God.

We, too, can walk in newness of life to know Christ and the power of His resurrection.

I walk with Jesus Christ and I am not afraid.

I walk in the presence of the Light and I am not afraid.

The Light is stronger than darkness and I am not afraid.

I walk with Jesus Christ and I am not afraid.”*
