God’s Bountiful Blessings

“The blessing of God be upon you! We bless you in the Name of YHWH!” (Ps. 129)

I have a fellow woman priest, friend who ministers in a local assisted living facility.

When you step inside the room, the sacred space is transformed into a chapel.

There is a sense of anticipation as the the residents make their way through the door, with plenty of room for those in wheel chairs to gather around the altar.

As the music begins, a transformation takes place allowing the presence of the Shekinah Spirit to settle among the crowd. The eyes of those in attendance speak of joy.

I am fortunate to sit among the group and take in the energy, sights and sounds, just as I do when in the precious presence in my garden.

After communion, all in attendance raise up theirs hands and sing, “May the Blessings of the Lord be upon you, we bless you in the name of the Lord.”

We are all sent forth to welcome a new day, taking with us God’s Bountiful Blessings!
