“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me.” (Lk. 4)
Jesus has been tempted by darkness in the desert and stays the course. He emerges set free and the “power of the Holy Spirit was with him.”
We are all tempted at one point or another to veer off the path, life happens whether we want it to or not; this is not the end.
It is in a period of distress, we act as if; believing this too shall pass and the Light of the Risen Christ will shine once again.
A door opens; we are beckoned to come forth, with confidence one can answer this question, “Whom Shall I Send?” We are given a sense of freedom and courage to forge new beginnings.
God is always ahead of us and this is why we run the race with Jesus and no one else.
“I have come to set the captives free.” (Lk. 4)
