Blessed be the name of the Holy Child, Jesus.
Christ’s journey is the highest and holiest, entering through the most humble of doors.
Our Lord’s birth was an advent – the appearance of God in human form, as a gift.
A young girl chosen to birth the blessing, as told by the Archangel Gabriel, “Do not yield to fear, Mary, for the Lord has found delight in you and has chosen to surprise you with a wonderful gift.” (Lk. 1)
Jesus wants us to receive his gift; one that cannot be ordered by the push of a button or wrapped with a pretty bow, “for out of his abundance we have all received and all supplied with one grace after another; spiritual blessing upon spiritual blessing, favor upon favor and gift upon gift.” (Jn. 1.)
In this holy season, be present in the present and receive “The Gift” of Jesus in your heart.
