The Fruit of the Work Part 2

Welcome to Week 2 of The Fruit of the Work. This week we are going to focus on God + Good.

Opening Prophetic Passage:

“He will be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, which gives its fruit at the right time, whose leaves will ever be green; and he will do well in all his undertakings.” (Ps. 1:3)

Today’s Message:

One of the references we find in scripture has Jesus discussing this very topic.

A question came up, “Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” Jesus’ response:  “Why call me good? No one is good except one; that is God.” (Lk. 18)

I always tell those I minister to; whether in a group setting or one-to-one: “God is good without the ‘o.’ (PAZ)

Jesus went about doing good because God was with him and he manifested the Fruit of the Ruach, goodness; the very core of who he was, and is today.

And those in the good earth are those who, having given ear to the word, keep it with a good and true heart, and in quiet strength give fruit. (Lk. 8)

Closing Prophetic Passage:

Reaching the end of her life, St. Therese of Lisieux said, “I will spend my heaven doing good on earth.” Perhaps, this is something one can strive towards with the time God has given.
