“On Sunday night, you cried out and prayed without ceasing. I know you were scared, but you listened to my voice and did what I asked. You got to witness my power, the God power. Never doubt what I can do for you!”
“Emotional storms have a front door that blows open, turning life upside down and a back door with drama exiting at a snail’s pace causing more desolation.”*
This summer has been a combination of different storms ranging from death of family and friends, to a hurricane that blew by last week. “Without warning, the backside of the storm hit causing more damage.”*
As I sat in my home last week, I experienced both the front and back side of Hurricane Irma; powerful and terrifying.
I felt the emotional impact of the back side of a storm, around and within.
During meditation, I had a vision. I saw a funnel cloud, spinning round and round; representing how life can spin out of control in a split second.
I was reminded: No matter what happens, “Don’t step into the mess!”
If necessary, step back and out by taking refuge under the wings of the almighty, “When the wind blows your house will not fall.”*
At times, it is necessary to call upon the source of God and the power of heaven.
If you are surviving the back side of a storm, take a very deep breath; assess and keep praying.
Here is prayer I use after a storm passes:
“In the name of Yeshua Jesus, I command this spirit of trauma to be thou removed and cast into the sea; where my eyes cannot see, but my heart and spirit get set free!”
