Son Day for Sunday

God Is

“In thy presence there is fullness of joy; in thy right hand are pleasures for evermore.” (Ps. 16)

Feeling alone stirs up fear, self-doubt and worry, “Which of you, by worrying, can add a moment to your lifespan?” (Mt. 6)

Yesterday, while walking around the garden, checking my plants; I looked down at the ground. At my feet were two dried bamboo cuttings in the shape of a cross. My dog was with me. Normally, she would grab that stuff and run around the yard claiming her prize, but she didn’t. A salamander had her attention in the distance and off she went. I told God, “Thank You.”

We have to pay attention to the little messages and blessings that come our way when questioning life.

“God is the source of my daily blessings.”

We sometimes want to step into situations and play God; fixing everyone; forgetting God is on the job and in charge, “Watch and see what I will do.”

“Know that God is with you; a very real and living presence.”

“Live this day in the knowledge that you are never alone. God is always with you.”

“I have a plan and a purpose for you.”
