Rescue Me

Beyond the Pulpit

As you know, we recently lost our Olive.

When we share memories of our beloved critter’s, we share the love. We love them in the same way that God loves us. They are part of our family and we are part of God’s family.

How precious are we in God’s sight when struggling?

“He won’t brush aside the bruised and broken. He will be gentle with the weak and feeble, until his victory releases justice.” (Mt. 12:20)

In our brokenness, we reach out to be rescued by God.

“I was in the midst of immense grief and having a broken heart comes with the package, ‘When you are brokenhearted I am close to you.’” (Ps. 34:18)*

Stand Tall…

“In my brokenness, let me rise.”

The Spirit Speaks…

“In my brokenness, let me heal.”

Breathe in and breathe out…

Into the Garden

In my front garden is a Peace plant. It is traditionally an indoor plant. We are in the midst of intense heat. It was nice to see a new shoot breaking through, in spite of weather challenges.

Perhaps, it is Jesus reminding me, “My peace I leave you, my peace I give you; not as the world gives but as I give!”

I need Jesus’ perfect peace, His Shalom!

“For there is no God, other than you, who cares for every living thing!” (Wis. 12:13)
