Today, we are going to peruse matters of the heart; as they relate to our relationship with God, right in time for Valentine’s Day.
Hope you like the flowers, I picked them especially for you!!!
This past Sunday, I shared with you this key passage:
“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul; with all your mind and with all your strength.”
What does it mean to have a Holy Heart?
God’s people are different than other people. We are not different because of the things that go into our bodies. Why?
Jesus said, It’s not what goes into us that makes one blemished, it’s what comes out of us; the junk that settles in the mind to be rehashed over and over; negativity, bitterness, anger, resentment, etc.
“Every thought in me is a thought of you.” (PC)
Further Introspection:
“The words of the Lord are pure words; as silver tried in a furnace, refined seven times. (Ps. 12)
We know God’s heart is unblemished and holy. Have you examined yours lately?
What has moved from the mind; depositing into your heart, clouding your inner judgment and thereby grieving the Spirit?
We can re-assure our hearts before God. Whenever our hearts condemn us, we can take comfort that God is greater than our hearts and knows all things.
“The Love of Christ compels us.” (2Cor. 5)
