Transfiguration

Jesus took with him Peter, James, and John, and led them up a high mountain, where they were alone. As they looked on, a change came over Jesus. His clothes became shining white–whiter than anyone in the world could wash them.” (Mk. 9:2-3)

During our Lenten walk there will be highs and lows.

The one thing we can count on is that the Light will continue to increase. The sun will be stronger and the days will grow longer.

Imagine being on that high mountain with Jesus and he changes right before your eyes.

The Light is nothing we have seen on this earth but get a glimpse of it from time to time.

Some years back while giving a homily, one of our members made a comment that as I was talking she saw an incredible white light all around me. This happened on more than one occasion.

Our Light might not be as bright as the one that surrounded Jesus that day on the mountain. It gives us something to aspire to as we continue our spiritual journey.

Tool 3:

This week, remember, we all have a little piece of the transfiguration within. Our light can shrine brightly or dimly according to our spiritual condition. For those stuck in a dark winter world it will be time to come forth.

The Light is dark until we see the one who walked through Galilee!

The Light is always with us and in us.”
