Beyond the Pulpit…
“This generous God who supplies abundant seed for the farmer, which becomes bread for our meals, is even more extravagant toward you. First he supplies every need, plus more. Then he multiplies the seed as you sow it, so that the harvest of your generosity will grow.” (2 Cor. 9:10)

Years ago, while on the road, by myself, I was in great emotional distress and “In desperation, I began to cry out to God. In between my tears, I heard Jesus’ voice clear as a bell, “I am with you always.” My rational mind was chanting, “You are nuts.” I was holding on tight to the steering wheel. A minute or two went by and Jesus spoke to me again saying, “I am always with you.” * This encounter gave me the courage to keep going and it changed my life.
In order to be with and in Christ, always; forming and maintaining a powerful, spiritual foundation is the key to preparing the soil and starting seed, while giving one room to grow.
This year, I was instructed to move Beyond the Pulpit & Into the Garden; both physically and spiritually.
God has a plan and it’s all a work in progress. For me; to move beyond one’s comfort zone into a new way of being in ministry can be challenging, especially when others want to keep you in a box.
Pay attention to directions given by the Spirit. Be meticulous about the placement of the seed. Why?
“A farmer went out to sow seeds. As he cast his seeds some of it fell along the beaten path and soon the birds came and ate it.” (Mk. 4)
Our journey begins with the planting of seed on good ground.
Into the Garden…
Red Clover is a powerful plant. I like to plant it as a micro-green and then save some of the sprout babies to grow into plants. Red Clover is all about paying attention to what is going on around you and what is growing around you and not become part of the problem…
“You come near and they all gather around; feasting from your open hands; and each is satisfied from your abundant supply.” (Ps. 104:28)
