The Promises of Lent – A Time of Prayer & Healing: Week 2

Week 2

Are you ready to leave fear behind?

“Jesus said, “I was condemned because of who I was. Fear came out in great forces. It was not my will to stop the storms. I wanted man to see me, but he/she did not have eyes to see or ears to hear.”

Second Promise:

“Everyone will live in prosperity, enjoying life, for there will be nothing to fear.”

Prayer:

“I walk with Jesus Christ and I am not afraid.

I walk in the presence of the Light and I am not afraid.

The Light is stronger than the darkness and I am not afraid.

I walk with Jesus Christ and I am not afraid.” (30 Messages of Hope, pg. 49)

Lent is the last sign of spiritual hibernation, just before spring appears on the horizon. Darkness is being forced out of its nest, and we follow a liturgical cycle or sacred wheel, where one walks with Christ, every step of the way, without fear.
